What are Selections?

Selections are exactly like they sound like… they allow you to select certain parts of an image to edit.

Sounds easy, right? The only problem is that not all selections are easy to isolate from the image- some require specific tools and techniques.

Practical Uses of Selections

• Apply edits only to certain parts of an image… like a rock, a plant, or the sky for example

• Isolate difficult objects like trees, branches, and hair from the background for specific editing

• Save selections to edit later on
