In this tutorial, I’m going to introduce the concepts of selections. Selections are exactly like they sound like… they allow you to select certain parts of an image to edit.

Sounds easy, right? The only problem is that not all selections are easy to isolate from the image- some require specific tools and techniques.

I’m going to start by showing you how to make basic selections, save them for later, walk you through all the different selection tools, and finish the tutorial off with some advanced techniques- for things like hair, ridgelines, and plants.
