Here's a little about me.

Background

I started photography way back in 2018 with nothing but a cracked smartphone and a fifteen dollar selfie stick.

Fresh out of college, my only motivation was to take good photos of myself for dating. My long-term girlfriend had just broken up with me, and my entire future felt like it'd been shattered. You know, the typical mid-twenties canon event.

I started out with simple photography adventures- the parking garage down the street. The rock formation up the road. The illuminated pinball bar. But I slowly realized the more I shot, the more I learned about myself.

Little by little, my heartbreak began to fade and photography transitioned from a small hobby to an all-out obsession.

Next thing you know, I’d moved into a Toyota Prius and I was driving around North America shooting everything I could. I'd spend a few weeks out in nature, then a few weeks in the city doing food delivery to pay the bills.

Jump forward to today, and I’m still out here shooting. Although I’ve settled down in an apartment, I continue to believe in photography as a tool for self-growth.

Taking photos forces you to look at the world in a way you never initially imagined- and in those details, find elements of yourself.

Mission

Simply put, my mission is to explore more of this crazy world we live in.

  • My current setup is a Sony a7rIV camera with a Sony 24-105 G f/4 lens. For ultra-wide scenes, I use a Sony 12-24mm G f/4 lens, and for long-distance shots I use a Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 lens.
