Do This in Lightroom Before Importing to Photoshop
Learn the four preliminary edits to make in Lightroom before importing your photo into Photoshop.
In this tutorial, I’m going to break down the four preliminary edits I do to an image in Lightroom before I edit the image in Photoshop.
Since Lightroom is a RAW photo editor, it allows you to recover significant details from the image. More specifically, you can work directly with:
White Balance
Highlights/Shadows
Noise
Chromatic Aberration
Once the image is imported into Photoshop, you will not be able to work directly with the RAW file anymore, and thus you won’t be able to recover these important details with the same power. (Yes, you still be be able to edit all these characteristics in Photoshop, but you’ll have significantly less control.)
Therefore, it’s imperative that you make these four edits in Lightroom before you import the image to Photoshop, where we’ll be doing more refined editing.
